twins

Here is a quick preview from the twin's session.  They were so good and I had the most fun.

I photographed their parent's wedding and their big brother.  It is so rewarding to watch and document as a family grows.

babysitting

Here are three I took today while playing peak-a-boo.  My god daughter is very cute and full of energy.  They might be out of focus, but I think they capture her perfectly.

white christmas

For the first time in a very long time, I had a white Christmas.  My wife and I spend every Christmas day with my in-laws in North Carolina, but there is very rarely snow.  This year we not only had snow, but we had a lot of it.  Six inches to be exact.  Here are a few instant prints from my four days on the mountain.

Instant Freeman

I was lucky enough to do two sessions at my clients' homes last week.  Here are a few faves from the second session.  These were taking in the fading light late one afternoon in Olivia's back yard.  It was perfect.

second bite at the instant

***WARNING***

***This is a total photographer geek post.  Read at your own risk.***

My love for Fuji instant film is growing.  Fuji FP-3000B is one of the greatest films ever made.  You get a beautiful, contrasty print and a much lower contrast negative at the same time.  Even better, the negative side remains visible and gives you a second chance at the exposure.  Regular negative film loves to be overexposed.  Fuji instant film, much like slide film, does not.  Get it right, or....  So, with 3000B, the negative can still be quite good even if the print is blown out.  Below is an example.
